Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October will be two days dedicated to dinosaurs in the company of Fabio Manucci, a researcher and palaeoartist who is one of the authors of the first book devoted to the creatures that lived where the Dolomites stand today, hundreds of millions of years ago.
Activities open to the public at the Hotel Boite include a talk with Manucci on the evening of 10 October and a screening of Steven Spielberg’s classic *Jurassic Park* (1993) the following evening.
On Sunday morning, there will be a guided walk (booking essential) to the dinosaur footprints at Pelmetto, setting off from the hotel or meeting at the Staulanza mountain refuge.
Packages are also available for one or two-night stays at the Hotel Boite, which include all the activities as well as a demonstration workshop for everyone on the work of a palaeoartist, focusing on the reconstruction of prehistoric animals and environments based on fossils.
