Descrizione lunga

The group, led by charismatic frontman Alex Kapranos, currently includes Bob Hardy on bass, Dino Bardot on guitar, Julian Corrie on keyboards, and Audrey Tait on drums, with a lineup that has undergone many changes over time.

Since their beginnings, organizing illegal parties in dilapidated buildings in their city, Franz Ferdinand have distinguished themselves with an innovative and bold approach: a groundbreaking artistic vision, combined with great riffs, engaging melodies, and powerful ideas. Their sound, characterized by infectious rhythms, sharp guitars, and ironic lyrics, broke through with their self-titled debut album in 2004, driven by the global hit “Take Me Out.”

With albums like “You Could Have It So Much Better” (2005) and “Tonight: Franz Ferdinand” (2009), they solidified their reputation with tracks like “Do You Want To” and “No You Girls.” Their musical style blends post-punk, funk, and dance-rock, making them one of the most progressive bands of their generation thanks to their constant reinvention while keeping alive the energy that has made them icons of the alternative sphere.

The sixth album, “The Human Fear” (2025), embodies the energy that fear unleashes, reminding us that fear is what makes us alive and human. Not just an album, but an anthem to live a full and conscious life, accompanied by a refined yet true-to-their-roots sound that combines rhythm, vulnerability, and boldness.
