The highly anticipated edition of "Open Gardens" returns on May 23 and 24, during which wonderful gardens, courtyards, and private and public green spaces will be opened to visitors.
It’s an opportunity to see lesser-known places, discover new corners and views, and see what lies behind a door that has always remained closed.
The most enchanting and curious gardens in Verona will exceptionally open their doors to the public on the occasion of Interno Verde, the widespread festival committed to enhancing the city’s wonderful architectural and botanical heritage.
The event, promoted by Giardini Aperti Verona in collaboration with Interno Verde, will be enriched by a rich program of initiatives dedicated to nature and the environment: snacks under the trees and guided visits, workshops for adults and children, thematic itineraries, presentations, exhibitions, installations, and artistic performances.
The event aims to raise visitors' awareness of landscape and greenery themes in the city and will attract people passionate about plants and gardens, but not only that. It will not be the festival of “beautiful gardens,” but of green spaces.
This means that not only gardens will be visitable, but also green spaces that simply tell the story of the neighborhood and can develop greater awareness of the richness of one’s territory in the visitor.
