Gina Roma. Painter, artist, woman. In the sign of color (1946–2002)

From March 29 to July 26, 2026, Oderzo hosts the exhibition dedicated to Gina Roma, an artist deeply linked to the Opitergino territory and a leading figure in the cultural scene of the twentieth century.

Born in Vazzola and trained between Treviso and Venice, Gina Roma moved to Oderzo in 1943, a city that became the center of her life and artistic activity. Here she developed an intense creative and cultural journey, actively contributing to the promotion of modern art and the growth of local artistic institutions.

Painter and cultural animator, she founded the Quattro Cantoni Cultural Circle in 1968 and Ca’ Lozzio Incontri in 1987. Between 1986 and 1993, she also presided over the Alberto Martini Art Gallery, promoting initiatives dedicated to contemporary art, including the Biennale of Engraving named after the Opitergino graphic artist.

The exhibition traces her artistic journey through works created between 1946 and 2002, returning to the public the expressive energy and rich chromatic research that characterize her painting.

Together with the Museum of the Duomo, at Ca’ Lozzio Incontri, the Oderzo Culture Foundation remembers and celebrates her with a widespread exhibition that has Palazzo Foscolo as the central exhibition venue, offering the opportunity to rediscover a significant figure in twentieth-century art deeply linked to the cultural history of Oderzo.

The exhibition “Gina Roma. Painter, artist, woman,” currently at Palazzo Foscolo (Oderzo), has been extended until July 26.
