GROWING, COURAGE, TRUST, CURIOSITY, are the “Small Dreams” of 2026
These are the dreams/bidreams that inspire the 2026 edition of the children's and family theater festival “Big and Small Dreams”, which returns for the third consecutive year to invigorate the arrival of the beautiful season in the city of Rovigo. The organization is by the well-established team of “Il teatro siete voi”, with artistic direction by Irene Lissandrin, the staff of ViviRovigo, the support and patronage of the Municipality of Rovigo, the partnership of Arteven, Mic, and the Veneto Region, and the collaboration of the Parish of San Bortolo and Teatro Studio; a request for funding has been submitted to the Cariparo Foundation and is currently under review.
As usual, there will be four appointments, with just as many performances, mostly new or never seen before in Polesine.
The festival kicks off on March 8, focusing on the value of Growth with “Little Red Riding Hood in the Wolf's Belly” by “Altri posti in piedi”, a theater company from San Giovanni Lupatoto (Verona): a new theatrical group.
On March 15, the value of Courage will be explored with “The School of Magic”, a brand-new production by Febo Teatro.
On April 12, the theme of Trust takes the stage with another title never before seen: “Alfredo the Duck”, also from a company visiting Polesine for the first time, “Teatro giovani teatro pirata”, from the Ancona area.
Finally, on April 19, a performance that appeared in the festival only once in 2020 returns: “Peter Pan: a story of a few centimeters and feathers” by “Eccentrici dadarò”. This last appointment will take place at the Teatro Studio in Rovigo, while the other three will be at the Teatro San Bortolo.
All performances begin at 4:30 PM.
