Il tempo di Berta

The historical reenactment organized by the Berta A.P.S. Association in collaboration with the Municipality. For three days, the city transforms into an 11th-century village, filled with military camps, artisan workshops, ancient flavors, music, shows, and costumed performers, creating a journey into the past inspired by the famous legend of the common woman Berta.
The heart of the event is the medieval village set up in Mostar Park, where merchants, artisans, and entertainers recreate the atmospheres and traditions of a distant era. The Inn “de Montagnon” accompanies the reenactment with dishes inspired by medieval cuisine and contemporary reinterpretations, while the program offers moments of entertainment and conviviality for all ages.
Among the protagonists of the festival are the challenge of arms, the traditional Palio on horseback of the six districts, and the new “Night of the Village”, designed to extend the atmosphere of the reenactment with live music, medieval cocktails, itinerant artists, and shows.
Completing the journey through time are exhibitions of falconry, dances, and medieval music, and above all, the Grand Historical Parade, with over 400 performers including ladies, knights, armor-bearers, and flag-wavers. The grand finale is entrusted to the theatrical reenactment of “The Legend of Berta”, enriched with original music and songs, bringing back to the stage the most famous tale of the tradition of Montegrotto Terme.
