After the evocative and participatory passage of the Olympic Flame, the city of Rovigo prepares to experience a new moment of great significance.
The March 6 from 9 to about 10 am, the "Paralympic Flame Milano-Cortina 2026" will arrive in the city, symbolizing courage, resilience, and inclusion.
The recent passage of the Olympic Flame has ignited enthusiasm and pride throughout the Rodigina community, involving citizens, schools, associations, and institutions in a festive and sharing atmosphere.
"Now Rovigo – declare Mayor Valeria Cittadin and Deputy Mayor and Sports Councilor Andrea Bimbatti – is ready to welcome the Paralympic Flame, bearer of an even deeper message: sport as a means to overcome barriers, enhance differences, and promote equal opportunities. Its passage represents an opportunity to reaffirm the city's commitment to inclusion and support for sport for all."
March 6 will be a special day, seeing the participation of local authorities, the sports world, and volunteers, along with many citizens who wish to testify their closeness to the Paralympic values.
Route: from 09:00 to around 10:00 am starting from Viale Tre Martiri in front of the Police Headquarters, then passing through Viale della Pace, Viale Dante Alighieri, Corso del Popolo and ending at Viale Porta Po no. 2.
Additionally, there will be a moment of presentation of the Paralympic Flame with greetings from city authorities, at 8:30 am in Piazza Matteotti - Rovigo.
The event will feature the presence of 20 torchbearers who will each cover about 150 meters, and we would like to make the passage a celebration for the city, involving schools, associations, sports clubs, and all citizens, so that the torchbearers' journey becomes a moment of joy, participation, and inclusion.
