On the occasion of the twelfth edition, the Castelfranco Veneto Jazz Festival hosts the Ottovolante Orchestra, a prestigious ensemble with over twenty years of activity that features thirteen members including vocals, piano, double bass, drums, percussion, and a powerful brass section that will make you experience the atmospheres of the early television variety shows.
Directed by the renowned trombonist Mauro Ottolini, one of the most important and versatile musicians in Italian jazz, the concert offers a stunning tribute to post-war Italian music.
The repertoire reinterprets the great classics of Italian song through sophisticated arrangements in jazz, swing, mambo, and cha cha cha styles.
The event combines Ottolini's eclecticism, already a collaborator with giants of international jazz and pop music, with the expressive force of an orchestra born to transform musical memory into pure rhythmic energy.
