The Padova International Festival La Sfera Danza, now in its XXIII edition, stands out this year for its ability to activate and enhance a wide network of locations in the city and the territory, transforming them into performative settings capable of hosting contemporary artistic languages.
The programming indeed unfolds through a plurality of spaces – historical, monumental, natural, and theatrical – that testify to the Festival's desire to create a dynamic dialogue between dance, architecture, and community.
The choice to use such heterogeneous spaces – from loggias to cloisters to theaters – is not just a logistical solution, but a true cultural project. The Festival is configured as an urban laboratory, an opportunity to rediscover the city through dance and to build new connections between art, places, and community.
An edition that confirms the festival's intention to intertwine dance, history, and architecture, transforming Padova and its territory into a large diffuse stage.
In the program of the 2026 edition, the Festival hosts and involves artists and dance companies of proven professional excellence, including Italian and international formations, solo dancers, and groups that stand out for interpretive quality, originality, and the solidity of their artistic path.
