On the occasion of the twelfth edition of the Castelfranco Veneto Jazz Festival, the Salone di Villa Barbarella hosts the Italo-Israeli Yakir Arbib, who boasts an international concert activity in prestigious venues.
For four consecutive years, he won the prize for young talents from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
In 2008, at the age of 19, he won the Massimo Urbani International Prize, and later established himself at the Montreux International Piano Jazz Competition (2015), where he was also named “the most original pianist” by the jury.
The album “My Name is Yakir” was also awarded the album of the year by Télérama in 2019, and his music is broadcasted internationally on television and radio.
His performances blend classical music and jazz into an original synthesis, reinventing classical music through improvisation.
