The project for the 21st edition of the Living Nativity of Annone Veneto returns, engaging and strengthening the entire town that has always supported this now-traditional initiative, which helps to experience Christmas in a "special" way. In fact, the Nativity not only evokes the religious meaning of Christmas, but is an important moment of gathering for many families who participate as actors (about 200), as collaborators, and makes the wait for Christmas joyful!
This year we are particularly happy to have as "main protagonists" in the role of Jesus five children born in the town in recent months. There are indeed five families from Annone that will represent the Nativity on the various scheduled dates.
The performance will take place, as always, in the evocative setting of the park of the New Church of S. Vitale, where the most characteristic environments of the Nativity will find space: from the palace of the Roman governor to the dunes of the desert, from the villages with ancient shops to the corners where artisans carry out old trades, up to the most significant scene: the stable with the Holy Family of Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus. The visitor will be invited to walk through these scenes, to be close to the actors, and to undertake a journey of reflection and silence, which will help them internalize the mystery of a God made child for humanity. The organization is managed by a tested group of people who work every year for more than three months on the planning, realization, and promotion of the initiative.
The performance will be repeated on several dates: Christmas Eve, the afternoon of St. Stephen, the afternoon of December 28, 2025, and the afternoons of January 4, 6, and 11, 2026.
Admission is free, and in case of bad weather, the performances will be canceled.
