One hundred years on from the birth of Carolina Marisa Occari (Stienta, 1926 – Ferrara, 2014), the artist’s hometown pays tribute to her work with the exhibition “Return to the Po. Carolina Marisa Occari. Engravings and Landscapes on the Centenary of Her Birth’, scheduled to run from 3 to 18 October 2026 in the rooms of Casa Romani, at 166 Piazza Santo Stefano in Stienta.
Organised by the Municipality of Stienta and the artist’s family, under the patronage of the Province of Rovigo, the exhibition presents a selection of 34 graphic works, mainly etchings, with some drypoint engravings, chosen to illustrate Occari’s deep and unbroken connection with the landscape of the Po and with the land where she was born and raised.
The opening is scheduled for Saturday 3 October at 4.00 pm.
Of particular significance will be the special opening on Monday 12 October at 6.00 pm, marking the exact centenary of the artist’s birth, with a commemorative event dedicated to Carolina Marisa Occari.
