The “Mario Bernardi” Poetry Prize was established to honor the memory of the writer and poet from Oderzo, Mario Bernardi, who passed away in July 2015. The scientific committee, as stated in the regulations, has chosen “Work” as the theme for the XI edition.
A week full of events dedicated to poetry, literature, and music will kick off on Sunday, October 4, with the awards ceremony for the Junior section “Between Peressina and Ottoboni”, reserved for students of the Comprehensive Institutes of Oderzo, Salgareda, Ormelle, San Polo di Piave, and Ponte di Piave.
On Wednesday, October 7, in the Anfore Hall of the Archaeological Museum “Eno Bellis”, the book Poetic Notes by Isabel Miotto will be presented, accompanied by music from Alessandro Omicciuolo. On Thursday, October 8, it will be the turn of At the Table with Poetry, an evening organized in collaboration with the Association Amiche per la Pelle APS: a charity dinner at the Nuovo Ranch restaurant, amidst poetry, readings, music, and conviviality.
On Friday, October 9, again at the Archaeological Museum, Opera Operaia. 43 years of factory and 40 of poetry by Fabio Franzin will be presented. On Saturday, October 10, in the Church of San Polo di Piave, the concert of the Coro ANA of Oderzo is scheduled.
The week will conclude, as per tradition, on Sunday, October 11, at Palazzo Foscolo with the final ceremony of the XI International Poetry Prize “Mario Bernardi”, dedicated to adults and students of the Secondary Schools of Triveneto, with sections in Italian and in the dialects of Triveneto.
