Descrizione lunga

The Verona Arena Foundation brings to the stage of the Arena for the first time one of Puccini's most famous titles, but in a family format: on Saturday, May 9, Turandot. Enigms at the Museum. will be performed.

A show designed to bring children and young people, along with their families and schools, closer to the world of opera through engaging, interactive storytelling suitable for all ages, inspired by Giacomo Puccini's opera, which this year celebrates the hundredth anniversary of its premiere. Guided by the conductor, the audience will be invited to sing, perform simple movements, and use props, transforming the entire amphitheater into a large shared stage.

In the halls of a museum, something magical happens, and the reading of an ancient manuscript brings to life statues, precious ceramics, traditional costumes, and period prints. The visitors – including the young Calaf, with his father Timur and Liù – are catapulted into the mysterious world of Turandot, the princess with a heart of ice who – with the help of Ping, Pong, and Pang, three statues from the Terracotta Army – is just waiting to find true love and be remembered forever.

The direction is entrusted to Andrea Bernard with musical direction by Sieva Borzak. On stage is an ensemble of young performers and the 1813 Orchestra.

A production of AsLiCo, in collaboration with Opéra Grand Avignon and Opéra de Rouen Normandie. Generali Italia is the Education partner of the project.
