Following the success of the first edition that saw a magnificent Silvia Persico triumph, on Wednesday, October 14, the Veneto Women returns to the streets of Verona, a women's professional cycling race. An event designed to highlight talent, passion, and spectacle, right in the heart of the Veneto region.
This year, the itinerary features 106.8 km, with an elevation gain of 600 meters. The start will be at 9:30 a.m. in Verona, in Piazza Bra, and will conclude around 12:30 p.m. in Vicenza, on Viale X Giugno - Monte Berico. The route, designed to encourage long-distance attacks, promises pure spectacle: a dynamic, fast, unpredictable race that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats from the first pedal strokes.
Among the names at the start line are great champions of the two wheels, including the German Liane Lippert, the Dutch Karlijn Swinkels, the New Zealander Henrietta Christie, the Swiss Marlen Reusser and Noemi Rüegg, the English Cat Ferguson and Anna Henderson, the Spaniard Mavi Garcia, and the Italians Silvia Persico, Elisa Longo Borghini, Gaia Realini, and Eleonora Camilla Gasparrini.
The Veneto Women will officially open the Ride the Dreamland 2026 week, which will continue with the Giro del Veneto, the Serenissima Gravel, the social ride VENEtoGO, and the grand finale with the Veneto Classic.
The Veneto Women once again represents a great opportunity to enhance and promote women's professional cycling.
