The Skenè Research Center of the University of Verona presents a new edition of the Verona Shakespeare Fringe: a festival aimed at offering Verona a week of performances, in the original language with subtitles in English and Italian, staged by companies from all over the world, to promote new perspectives on the dramas and poetry of William Shakespeare.
The theatrical review will take place in three uniquely charming venues: Palazzo Verità Poeta, Teatro SS. Trinità, and Villa Buri.
There will be six performances staged by companies from the United Kingdom, Italy, North Macedonia, Malta, Armenia, and Hungary.
All in the original language, with subtitles in English and Italian, to immerse the audience in a completely international dimension through performances that range between live and multimedia.
Thanks to the selected international artistic proposals at the Verona Shakespeare Fringe, the Shakespearean imagination will find new approaches and original viewpoints, aiming to overturn various commonplaces.
The Fringe Festival presents the ways in which Shakespeare continues to give voice to the collective imagination, starting from a plurality of angles, confirming its vitality and relevance, and again counts on international partners this year.
