Bolzano - Lake Garda - Venice

The cycle path winds from Lake Garda to Venice and connects the cycle paths of Trentino Alto Adige with those of Veneto. This route has become a classic cycling tourism route in Italy because it offers a broad overview of the landscapes, traditions and beauties of the region.

For those who descend from Bolzano following the Adige cycle path, the recommended detour to Lake Garda is at Rivoli Veronese. Leaving the towns overlooking the lake, you cross the homelands of the fine Veronese wines: Bardolino and Valpolicella. After visiting the city of Romeo and Juliet, the cycle route goes towards the city of Palladio, stopping at the medieval village of Soave. From Vicenza you continue on the cycle path of the Riviera Berica and then on the Bacchiglione river, to Padua, custodian of Giotto's innovative painting; from there you start back in the direction of Venice crossing the famous Riviera del Brenta. The next destination is Mestre, where you leave your bike to reach Venice by public transport.
