The apartment takes its name from the reconstruction project of the Bivacco Fanton at Forcella Marmarole in Auronzo, inaugurated in 2021.
A very large room features a double bed tucked into a loft bed frame with a lowered ceiling, while in the space opposite, I created a wooden structure that replicates the unique experience of sleeping in a bivouac.

In the renovation, we wanted to remember the reconstruction project of the bivouac Fratelli Fanton that has entered our hearts, a magnificent example of contemporary architecture built at high altitude that provides an unforgettable experience for those fortunate enough to stay there for at least one night.
The house overlooks a large lawn facing the lake at the beginning of the village of Auronzo di Cadore, and it is precisely at the start of the bike path that provides access to the lakeside walks.
Built beside a small stream, it is open on three main sides and enjoys an excellent view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the more famous peaks of the Dolomites of Sesto that surround the village.
A very large room features a double bed nestled in a loft bed frame with a lowered ceiling while, in the space opposite, “the bivouac“, a cozy alcove with a vaulted ceiling, entirely wood-paneled, where you can have your children or friends sleep with you. If needed, there is also a double sofa bed in the living room for a total of six sleeping spots. In the bathroom with shower, I wanted to include a washbasin carved from rock set on a massive wooden beam.
If you stay with us, you can comfortably leave your car near the house. You won't have to worry about towels, blankets or sheets, nor about anything you might need for cooking, which is part of the amenities of the accommodation.

In the apartment, you will find many references to the Bivacco Fanton, but we like to think that, beyond the geometry of the forms, there is a shared love for building something that can move those who experience these spaces.
