The 2025 Symphony Season begins on January 31st and, alternating with the opera dates, will continue until December 31st.
The program includes 10 concerts in which the Choir and Orchestra of the Fondazione Arena di Verona will be accompanied by conductors and soloists of international prestige.
The season will open with Mozart's Great Mass in C minor, to continue with important anniversaries of great composers such as Šostakovič, Ravel and Antonio Salieri, to whom the extraordinary Easter concert on the 200th anniversary of his death will be dedicated, which will be exceptionally also replicated in Legnago, the maestro's hometown.
The schedule proceeds with Rachmaninov's concerts, Richard Strauss's compositions, Beethoven's symphonies (the Pastorale) and those of Mahler (the Seventh, complex and fascinating, never performed by the Veronese ensembles).
Well-known songs and milestones of the repertoire will be accompanied by rarer and equally precious gems, discovering authors from Hungary and Latin America.
Pleasant forays into the contemporary are also planned, with programs including pieces by Poulenc, Berio, Dennehy, and a new world premiere commission from maestro Sciortino, today's multifaceted artist.
Furthermore, as per tradition, the traditional appointment with the End of the Year Concert on December 31st is confirmed to await the arrival of 2026 in a real musical celebration.
