On 31st October, Conegliano participates in the National Urban Trekking Day and offers a guided walk to discover the characteristic locations of the city.
‘Nature to art: memory, artifice, landscape’ is the theme proposed at national level, and the City of Cima interprets it with an itinerary entitled ‘Conegliano: the landscape that becomes art’.
Starting from the Iat Office in Via Carducci, the route will wind partly along the Monticano river and through the city streets, both outside and inside the ancient medieval walls. The aim is to discover some of the views we can recognise in the Renaissance paintings of Giambattista Cima, works in which the landscape of Conegliano and the surrounding hills is a true co-protagonist. The itinerary will lead us to the top of the Colle di Giano, from where we can admire a magnificent panorama of the surrounding hills.
The trek will end with a toast and the tasting of some typical local products.
Booking is compulsory while places last.
