Starting from Venice - Tronchetto, you embark for the Lido where the Islands of Venice Cycle Path (E5) starts. This route, extending between the sea and the lagoon, leads to Chioggia.
The second day you will ride along the Bacchiglione embankment, passing through the Benedictine Courts of Correzzola to reach the largest spa destination in Europe: Abano and Montegrotto Terme, in the Euganean Hills Regional Park.
The next day leads you to the centre of Padua and, following the Bacchiglione between abbeys, villas and castles, you will arrive in Vicenza, whose historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site housing the masterpieces of Palladio.
After a stop in the city, head for the foothills towards Marostica and Bassano del Grappa: the first is well-known for the game of chess, the second for the Ponte degli Alpini.
Among the rolling hills you can then reach Asolo, part of the club of the most beautiful villages in Italy, and Montebelluna, at the foot of Montello. Treviso, famed for red radicchio and Prosecco, is now close.
The next day, riding on the GiraSile river cycle path, you will return to the lagoon.
The route is varied and easy, although there are some short stretches on busy roads. On the banks of the rivers you can ride on dirt bike paths. There are no significant ascents. Memorable moments include the boat crossings of the Venice lagoon, the discovery of small rural villages and the pools of the Euganean Thermal Baths.
