"Christmas in Bassano" is an event that celebrates the holidays with markets, lights, a Christmas train, Santa Claus's Village, and many other activities such as concerts, shows, and musical entertainment.
The squares and the entire historic center are adorned with Christmas lights, and a large 18-meter tree towers in Piazza Libertà.
The Christmas markets take place in the central squares, Piazza Libertà and Piazza Garibaldi, offering food and wine products and local handicrafts. From December 26 to January 6, there will be a Befana market set up in Piazza Garibaldi. Also in Piazza Libertà, at the Church of San Giovanni, from December 8 to January 6, a unique nativity scene curated by Pro Bassano can be visited for free.
At the Ezzellini Castle, the Christmas Village is set up, where Santa Claus with his elves will be waiting for visitors in his house, and outside there will be an ice-skating rink. For the little ones, there will be Christmas-themed readings with a final workshop and the Lilliputian Train that will tour the historic center.
Also, on weekends, some outdoor shows and activities have been organized in the historic center to entertain visitors and passersby, such as concerts and itinerant music shows. An entertainment area for children will be set up at Piazzotto Montevecchio with play islands, baby dance, and various shows.
