On January 6, 2025, from 2:30 PM, Cavallino will celebrate Epiphany with the traditional Regata dee Beroe, organized by the Remiera Cavallino Association, an event that brings together sport, tradition, and festivity for the whole family. The meeting point is the scenic panoramic terrace over the Pordelio Canal in Piazza Cavallino, where costumed "Befane" (Epiphany witches) will compete in an exciting regatta on single-oared mascarete boats, creating a unique and entertaining spectacle.
Following the regatta, there will be a grand gathering of Befane along the coast: a colorful and festive parade featuring Befane on mascarete, caorline, and even on foot, all ready to share sweet treats and joy with the little ones. This event is open to all and offers a special opportunity to enjoy the magical atmosphere of Epiphany together.
In addition to the regatta, visitors can admire local nativity scenes, such as those created by Remiera Cavallino on via Marinona or the nativity scene at the Santa Maria Elisabetta Church. For those who wish to continue the day celebrating holiday traditions, at 5:00 PM you can head to Ca' Savio to experience the charming live nativity scene in Bodi.
This event is a must for families, children, and anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the coastal traditions. Admission is free, and the entire community is invited to join in this festive celebration!
