Treviso renews its appointment with the classical theater festival Mythos, which in 2026 reaches its fifth edition with the theme “Olympia”. The program expands the review at a regional level involving, besides Treviso, the cities of Venice, Padua, Belluno, Montebelluna, Mogliano Veneto, Possagno, Castelfranco Veneto, Fonte, P. di Soligo, and S. Donà di Piave.
Classics at the Theater kicks off the festival on January 14 at the Teatro Mario Del Monaco with Cinisca, the princess who spoke to horses. This is followed by The Logic of Peace, the Logic of War (February 3), Athloi (February 24), War and Sport, Heroes Compared (March 24), The Competitions of Virgil (April 14), The Olympics of '36 (April 30), The Glory of the Heroes (May 12).
Also present is "Dante's Heroes - Between Past and Present", a cycle of three reading shows taking place at the Teatro "La Stanza": A Dispute, the Contention of the Soul (March 10), An Unrelenting Challenge: The Reversal of Parts (March 17), and The Awareness of the Limit (March 23). This year's novelty is Olympia and the Seventh Art, a cinematic journey that tells the world of sport: The Kiss of the Killer (March 26), Machan (April 9), Appointment in Belleville (May 7).
In the section Classics in Music, the audience is engaged in a continuous musical journey, which intersects with all the other categories of the review, thanks to the important contribution of the Ass. Francesco Manzato. To enrich the program are many other initiatives, such as Classics at the Museum, theatrical workshops for children and teenagers, Classics work in progress.
