The Canova Foundation organizes a captivating reenactment, the night visit inside the Gypsotheca, during which it is possible to admire the vast collection of works and sculptures illuminated only by lanterns, then continuing to the birthplace to discover the pictorial masterpieces of the genius from Possagno.
Before the guided tour, we will offer you a delightful aperitif in the rustic annex of the Museum to taste the typical products of Canova's lands.
An evening that will take you back in time, allowing you to relive the atmosphere that Canova breathed at the end of the Eighteenth century in his Roman studio, when, after an intense day of work, by the light of torches and lanterns, the tireless artist sculpted sketches and polished marbles.
A charming silence reigned at night in his atelier emptied of artists and collectors, where absolute masterpieces surrounded the intense work of the greatest neoclassical artist.
