With “AGATA happy Mucci grappling with winter sports”, the Cultural Olympics Milan Cortina 2026 takes shape through watercolors, imagination, and universal values.
A exhibition that celebrates Cortina not only as the host of the Games, but as a place of education, beauty, and dialogue, where sport and culture meet to leave a legacy that goes beyond 2026. A message that starts from Cortina and speaks to the world. Here lies the future of Olympic values.
At the event, the author of the paintings and the book, Maria Pia Morelli, will be present. Graduated in languages with a master's in international marketing in the ceramic sector. Together with her ex-husband Paolo Serraiotto, she founded the tile company Decoratori Bassanesi in 1988. In addition to the author, the mayor of Cortina d’Ampezzo Gianluca Lorenzi, the President of Fondazione Cortina Stefano Longo, the director of La Cooperativa di Cortina Emanuela de Zanna, and the president of the Soroptimist Club Cortina Paola Coletti will also speak.
During the event there will also be a connection with Federico Mollicone, President of the Culture Commission of the Chamber of Deputies.
With this project, Maria Pia Morelli aims to accompany boys and girls through the stages of a special journey to remind the world that the flame of the Olympic torch passing from hand to hand symbolizes the transmission of peace, hope, and knowledge. It is the flame that awakens our consciousness, shining the beauty of life, the spirit of brotherhood, and fair competition where there are no enemies but opponents, for the duration of a race.
