Guido Harari. Incontri. 50 anni di fotografie e racconti

Starting from March 27, with over 300 photographs, installations, original films, projections, and memorabilia, the retrospective exhibition of Guido Harari promoted by the Municipality of Vicenza traces the career of the photographer in a new and evocative setup that engages with the architecture of the Basilica: from his beginnings in the 1970s as a photographer and music journalist, to portraits understood as places of proximity and listening, up to a body of work that has traversed publishing, advertising, fashion, and reportage.

The exhibition pathway, designed by architects Giorgio and Giulio Simioni in dialogue with the architectural specifics of the Palladian Basilica, relates central figures of contemporary culture. From musicians to artists, from intellectuals to scientists, the portraits construct a constellation of encounters that spans generations and languages: The exhibition is organized into five sections, starting from the 1970s.

In the photographic set of the Caverna Magica, it will be possible to be photographed by Harari. The images created will give life to a mini-exhibition titled “Eyes of Vicenza.” Guido Harari: “In the Caverna Magica, we return to being human.”
