Born is The Faces of Snow, the photographic exhibition conceived within APRESKI Mountain Show, which celebrates people before performances. Because behind every descent, every victory, every achievement, there is a gaze.
The project, born from a shared idea between GIS – Italian Skiing Journalists and SEC & Partners for Fandango Club Creators, entrusts photography with the most ambitious task: to capture the soul of the Italian mountain through its protagonists.
During the Milanese days of the event dedicated to mountain culture, journalist and photographer Gisella Motta portrayed over seventy faces in four intense days of work.
Black and white. From the chest up. No distractions. Only eyes, features, character.
Athletes. Coaches. Journalists. Photographers. Entrepreneurs. Institutional representatives.
A heterogeneous community, united by a deep bond with the snow.
The exhibition comes to life in a symbolic place: the departure station of the Faloria Cable Car, a daily crossroads for skiers and travelers heading to the 2,123 meters of Monte Faloria.
Here, the portraits of the athletes engage with the public in elegant display frames, while on a large screen the faces of those who build, tell, and support the snow system scroll in continuous rotation.
A dynamic visual narrative that weaves together memory, present, and future of Italian skiing.
The project will also be the protagonist of a moment dedicated to the press on February 17 at Super G.
