Museum of the Battle of Vittorio Veneto

Visiting the Museo della Battaglia di Vittorio Veneto means retracing, in a direct and engaging way, one of the most significant moments in Italian history: the 1918 battle that brought an end to the First World War on the Italian front

The exhibition, completely renewed and enhanced with eye-catching reconstructions, multimedia materials and immersive features, offers an insight into life in the trenches, the period of Austro-Hungarian occupation and the construction of the myth of victory. The historical collections, lovingly put together by grenadier Luigi Marson, include weapons, documents and authentic objects from the front, and are also accessible to visitors with special needs thanks to inclusive technologies, tactile displays and audio supports. Immersed in the historic centre of the town and housed in an ancient palazzo, the museum combines memories, research and innovation, delivering a cultural experience that is not merely commemorative but also educational and capable of conveying the human and historical complexity of the Great War.
