Tour of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene

This route, which is also suitable for less experienced cyclists, follows the brand-new route of the Granfondo Prosecco Cycling, a premier autumn event in the heart of Prosecco country. In this land of rolling hills embroidered with dense vineyards where Italy’s most famous sparkling wine is produced, cycling has always been embraced with particular passion and enthusiasm.

The route begins in the shadow of the bell tower of Valdobbiadene and winds its way through a series of gentle ups and downs, passing through Combai, Follina and Pieve di Soligo. It then continues towards Collalto, Crevada and the Felettano area, with a detour almost as far as Vittorio Veneto, also passing through Cozzuolo – all areas well worth a stop to sample the culinary delights of the Marca Trevigiana.

On the return journey towards Valdobbiadene, immediately after Solighetto, head towards Guia, Follo and Santo Stefano, passing through the Cartizze vineyards, a small area of 107 hectares of vineyards that combines a mild microclimate with varied soil, producing the finest Prosecco.

Spectacular stretches within a landscape that presents no particular difficulties. The only exception is the climb up to Colle di Guarda, at 1,300 metres, with a maximum gradient of 17%, which is encountered after 33 km of riding.

Particularly striking, too, is the passage over the Muro di Ca' del Poggio, in San Pietro di Feletto, the iconic climb of the Prosecco region.
