The 33rd edition of the Palio di Asolo and the 15th edition of the Palio dei 100 Orizzonti.
Ten municipalities are involved, 34 teams are competing, and more than 300 young people have been training for months on the hills of Asolo for a race that lasts just a few minutes but represents a whole year of glory: this is the Palio di Asolo.
The three-day event in Asolo offers a packed programme with activities to suit everyone:
Friday 26th: presentation of the teams in Piazza Brugnoli and the draw for the starting order.
Saturday 27th at 6.00 pm: First day of races, featuring the women’s teams from both the Palio di Asolo and the Palio dei 100 Orizzonti. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature the Parish Band and the Majorettes of Maser, and we will conclude the evening with the awards ceremony for the women’s teams, food trucks and music.
On Sunday 28th, the men’s competition will kick off at 5.00 pm, with the 100 Orizzonti teams starting first, followed by those of the Palio di Asolo. Following the races, the prize-giving ceremony will take place, concluding with a celebration in Piazza Brugnoli.
The municipalities of the 100 Orizzonti present at the starting line, who will be cheered on by the large crowd, are: Altivole, Caerano di San Marco, Castelcucco, Cornuda, Crocetta del Montello, Fonte, Maser, Monfumo, Montebelluna, San Zenone degli Ezzelini, Pederobba, Pieve del Grappa, Possagno and Riese Pio X, as well as the hosts from Asolo.
