Where the River Piave meets the plain and water has shaped people's lives over the centuries stands the MUB – Museo della Bonifica: a place that tells the extraordinary story of humanity's effort to tame and understand nature.
Housed in the former convent of the Clarisse, the museum takes visitors on an engaging journey that blends history, ingenuity and the landscape. Thanks to the modern and interactive exhibition, the MUB revisits the great era of the reclamation of the Lower Piave, showing how a combination of tenacity and vision transformed its marshy lands into a fertile and vibrant environment.
In 2018 the museum was completely renovated, and in 2021 it was enriched with a new section dedicated to the Great War and the rebirth of the territory. Today the MUB offers a multisensory and dynamic experience, enhanced by an interactive app that accompanies visitors along the museum route.
