With the event “The Oil of the Serenissima” the La Ruota Association, in collaboration with the Municipal Administration and the Pro Loco of Cappella Maggiore, aims not only to enhance the exquisite oil production of its hills but also to promote a wider range of oils from the lands that included the Venetian-Friulian hinterland and the Lombardy region, the Dalmatian coasts, the Greek islands, Crete, and Cyprus, all the way to Turkey.
The event aims to bring together oil productions once again to revive the richness of colors and flavors that were appreciated on the tables of the Venetian nobility.
The beating heart of the event is the tasting and sales area, a space designed to guide the public in tasting around seventy selected oils; there will also be a cooking show dedicated to making gelato with Evo oil.
At the educational olive grove, workshops for children will be organized, and guided tours and olive pruning courses will be held at the oil mill.
Throughout the event days, it will be possible to taste wines, typical dishes from the tradition, and participate in themed evenings.
