There is a deep and silent bond between the majesty of the Dolomite peaks and the depths of the earth, a tale made of rock, ingenuity, and toil that unfolds along the shores of the Cordevole.
We offer you an authentic immersion in the Belluno landscape, where lush nature meets the traces of a legendary industrial past: that of the pyrite mines of the Valle Imperina. This site, nestled among the green of the woods and the murmuring of the river, represents one of the most significant testimonies of the industrial archaeology of the area, a place where the history of the men who dug into the mountain is inextricably intertwined with the geological evolution of a unique valley.
Accompanied by guide Carlotta Fassina, we will explore this evocative scenery through a walk of about two and a half hours, designed for those who wish to look beyond the surface of the landscape and understand its most secret soul.
Starting from the meeting point at Via Peron 51 in Sedico, we will let ourselves be guided by the rhythms of the river to discover how the natural environment has managed to integrate and preserve the ancient wounds of the earth, transforming them into a cultural heritage of inestimable value that is just waiting to be told.
The experience is open to all those seeking a direct contact with local history and scenic beauty. There are two departure times, one in the morning at 9:00 AM and one in the afternoon at 3:00 PM, with a participation fee set at 10 euros.
