The end of September marks the return of the mountain huts festival, where the main characters will be the breeders and their animals who, on Saturday morning, will parade through the historic center of Falcade, festively decorated to celebrate the end of the grazing season.
During the Se Desmonteghea weekend, one can breathe in the genuine air of alpine traditions, evidenced not only by the passage of the animals but also by the typical cuisine served under the tent with traditional dishes, at the fair showcasing local specialties with more than 100 local exhibitors presenting their handcrafted products, in cultural insights and book presentations organized by the Union Ladina Val Biois, in the parade of folk groups from Agordino, and in musical entertainment with traditional dances.
This event is highly cherished by the residents of the Biois Valley, who beautify the town festively during the event weekend, and even in the valley's restaurants, there will be a dedicated menu.
This edition will be dedicated to the Carnivals of the valleys.
To fully experience the spirit of the festival, it is appreciated if all visitors wear traditional clothing.
