Descrizione breve
Two artists, one city, the endless search for beauty
Descrizione lunga

From August 1 to September 6, 2026, the Galleria Le Muse in Cortina d’Ampezzo presents an extraordinary exhibition that spans over half a century of European art, putting two great Italian masters in dialogue for the first time, united by a common destiny: Paris.

From Montmartre to Montparnasse: Zandomeneghi, Guadagnucci, and the Forms of Beauty” takes the visitor on an enchanting journey between the grace of Impressionism and the poetry of contemporary sculpture.

On one side, Federico Zandomeneghi, a key figure of the Parisian Impressionist movement alongside Degas and Renoir, explores the female universe of the Belle Époque through intimate, luminous, and vibrant works on paper.

On the other side, Gigi Guadagnucci, master of marble, transforms matter into lightness, giving life to sculptures that seem to defy the weight of stone to become light, transparency, and movement.

Montmartre and Montparnasse, the two neighborhoods symbolizing Parisian creativity, thus become the poles of an unprecedented dialogue between sign and volume, between delicacy and strength, between vision and matter. A surprising confrontation that reveals how the search for beauty can transcend eras, languages, and generations while maintaining its ability to evoke emotion.

An elegant and engaging exhibition experience, accompanied by a catalog published by the Belle Arti Society of Viareggio, in the heart of the Dolomites. A must-see event for collectors, enthusiasts, and for those who wish to be inspired by the encounter between two artists who transformed Paris into their immortal muse.
