The memorial seen up close: visits with specialists
Saturday September 12 at 11.00 a.m. Guided tour with Mario Gemin, architect, has been a lecturer in architectural composition, museography, and museotechnics. He oversaw the conservative restoration of the Scarpa project on the ground floor of the Querini Stampalia Foundation in Venice. He is the head of the FAI delegation in Treviso.
Among the cities that Carlo Scarpa frequented and loved, Asolo holds a special place, his elective residence. Scarpa knew that landscape that he dominated from the terrace of the house where he lived and for which he designed an ingenious system of curtains, in order to transform an open-air environment into the extension of the living room at home. The same ingenuity shines through at Memoriale Brion, where every detail arises from an attentive dialogue between material, light, space, and craftsmanship, through continuous verifications and variations on site, transforming the project into a living process.

Costs: full price €22, reduced price €17, FAI member €15

Carlo Scarpa, the Memoriale Brion and the relationship with Venice

Costs: full price €18, reduced price €13, FAI member €10
