Arriving at its twenty-fifth edition, the review recalls and deepens the Risorgimento events of Polesine and their deep connection with European history.
Unlike past editions, the 2026 event does not focus on a single weekend, but develops over a period of one month with appointments spread across different days of the week and aimed at different audiences:
- Midweek initiatives and for schools: During the weeks of programming, educational workshops for schools, guided tours available for booking, and in-depth meetings with scholars and researchers are planned.
- Cultural meetings and international relations: Conferences and exhibitions organized in synergy with partner municipalities (Fratta Polesine, Fiesso Umbertiano, Polesella, Rovigo) and the cultural institutions of the territory (Accademia dei Concordi, Ecomuseo Mulino al Pizzon, Museo Etnografico "Il Manegium"). The research path continues with a stop in Ljubljana (Slovenia), the place of imprisonment of the Polesani patriots.
- Reenactments and Shows on the weekend: The most important reenactment moments take place during the weekend, including the extraordinary participation of the Giona Show with its period equestrian performances and the final highlight related to the Feast of San Martino (in mid-November).
The traditional Carbonari Banquets represent one of the most awaited and evocative moments. Due to the renovation work planned at Villa Molin Avezzù Pignatelli, the period dinners will open the event and will be held on Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., in the Honor Hall of the villa in Fratta Polesine.
The evening features a period menu and a live dramatization with actors in costume who will bring to life events and dialogues of Fratta in 1818.
