This year, the Canova Museum in Possagno adheres to FaMu – National Day of Families at the Museum with an afternoon dedicated to discovery, creativity, and experimentation. On this occasion, the Museum transforms into a large open-air workshop: children and families can approach art through hands-on activities, materials, and imagination, just like in a small studio. Discovering Canova.
At 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. two special guided tours dedicated to families will start, designed to explore the works and stories of Antonio Canova through a route accessible even to the youngest.
And after the visit, it's time for creativity!
In the enchanting garden of Casa Canova, several stations will be set up to freely experiment with techniques and materials: Chalk and sculpture for shaping and creating small three-dimensional forms; Colors and soap bubbles to play with color and discover surprising effects; Printing to experience the pleasure of leaving an impression; Reading and drawing a space to observe, imagine, and create.
The activities will be accompanied by the educators of the Museum, and no prior experience is required: the important thing is not to create a "perfect" work, but to let curiosity guide you, try new techniques, and have fun together.
