Vicenza – “From Monteverdi to Mozart – waiting for the 30 years of Spazio & Musica” is the title of the 29th edition of Spazio & Musica, the ancient music festival in Vicenza realized in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Attractiveness of the Municipality of Vicenza and with the support of Gallerie d’Italia - Vicenza (the museum site of Intesa Sanpaolo) and the Giuseppe Roi Foundation.
The festival features eight concerts in some of the most significant art venues in Vicenza such as the Teatro Olimpico, Palazzo Chiericati, Gallerie d'Italia - Palazzo Leoni Montanari, the Oratory of San Nicola da Tolentino, and the Temple of Santa Corona.
From June to November, the festival will offer a program that spans almost two centuries of music, from the madrigals of Claudio Monteverdi from the early Seventeenth Century to the divertimenti for strings by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart from the late Eighteenth Century.
Spazio & Musica aims to send a message of great confidence to young musicians who are dedicated to ancient music with this program.
