ENRICO SCARPA - OHANNES GUREKIAN

Reached by a pleasant, panoramic hike, the Scarpa refuge offers a unique 360-degree view of the Agordine Dolomites | Pale di San Martino - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Both in summer and winter, the tranquility of a place far from the tourist trails makes this refuge the ideal place to recharge. Perhaps this was precisely what Venetian painter Enrico Scarpa had in mind when he created his personal studio here in 1912, where he could retreat and paint. Thanks to the Agordo Italian Alpine Club (CAI), today this welcoming refuge is a strategic starting point for climbing routes on the AGNER, the Stella Alpina via ferrata, a paragliding spot, a destination and refreshment point after pleasant walks, and a haven for cyclists and runners. A place to simply unwind, indulge in a slice of homemade cake and the warmth of the larìn. The refuge's kitchen offers a menu inspired by Belluno's culinary tradition: simple, tasty dishes made with local ingredients.
