The ninth edition of the Bintar Gospel Festival returns. The great event will take place over six different evenings in all the districts of the Municipality of Roana (VI) with 6 groups coming from the United States.
The term gospel, in English, means Gospel, good news, or word of God; in fact, the texts written and sung by gospel groups are inspired by the Bible, especially the book of Psalms. However, in recent years, the genre has spread beyond just Catholic environments, such as churches, but also in secular contexts. Initially, when thinking of Gospel, it was identified as Afro-American religious music with large choirs and a solo singer with exceptional vocal abilities. Subsequently, about 80 years ago, it changed radically, and many preachers began moving from church to church, bringing the faithful to follow them in their new songs.
There will be 5 evenings starting all at 9:00 PM and one afternoon at 5:00 PM:
27 December Roana (Parish Church) Real Gospel New Orleans
28 December Cesuna (Cinema Teatro Palladio) Nathan Mitchell & The Voices of Inspiration
30 December Canove (Multipurpose Hall) God's Angel
03 January Camporovere (Parish Church) Cedric Shannon Rives and the Unlimited Praise Gospel Singers
04 January Treschè Conca (Outdoor marching band) Rusty Brass Band
05 January Mezzaselva (Parish Church) The women of God
The evenings are free to enter until all available seats are filled. We remind you that for the evening in Cesuna, reservation at the Iat Roana is mandatory.
