With as many as 7 world premieres out of 9 scheduled projects – signed by some of the highest representatives of the artistic and cultural expression of the Italian scene, from different generations and languages – the 78° Ciclo di Spettacoli Classici al Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza will take place from September 25 to October 22 under the artistic direction of Ermanna Montanari and Marco Martinelli, a couple of art and life, founders of Teatro delle Albe and Ravenna Teatro, with 15 Ubu Awards between them and numerous other national and international recognitions.
Thus, a two-year period at the helm of one of the most prestigious and longest-running theater festivals in the oldest covered theater in the world, a masterpiece and the last work designed by Andrea Palladio, included by UNESCO among the world heritage sites.
A cultural excellence that has never ceased, throughout its history, to question the role of the classics in contemporary times.
The theme of the 2025 edition remains that of the “Chorus”, which unifies the programming of the two-year period, visually translated in the poster signed by a great artist and experimenter like Igort.
