Rovigo also participates in the XXII^ edition of Urban Trekking, the national event that combines sports, art, gastronomy, and traditions, characterized by the desire to discover the most curious and unusual corners of the cities.
Description of the route
Rovigo, crossroads of ancient pilgrimages, was traversed by the Germanic Way, which led hopes and prayers towards Rome. On the occasion of the Jubilee 2025, an urban trekking invites you to discover the spiritual soul of the city.
The route winds from Piazzale del Cen.Ser in Rovigo to the places that hold the spiritual roots of the City.
The first stop is the Cathedral of Santo Stefano, a jubilee church with a medieval heart, guardian of precious Venetian and Ferrarese artworks. From here, crossing the Insula Francescana, you arrive at the Temple of the Rotonda, where the Venetian baroque canvases paint atmospheres of light and devotion.
Continuing the journey, the neo-Gothic elegance of the Oratory of the Blessed Virgin of Pompeii, known as delle Fosse, reveals itself with its refined beauty, while the 20th-century Sanctuary of the Madonna Pellegrina keeps alive the tradition of prayer and hope.
The journey closes with the memory of places now vanished, San Rocco and Santa Giustina, which remain ancient examples of faith, art, and memory preserved in the heart of the city.
