On the occasion of the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, Associazione Arte Continua presents the exhibition Hybrids. Leandro Erlich at the Olivetti Store, curated by Marcello Dantas, Collateral Event of the Biennale Arte 2026 hosted in the historic Olivetti Store in Piazza San Marco, a masterpiece of architecture by Carlo Scarpa, entrusted by Generali Italia to FAI - Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano ETS.
The exhibition, created in collaboration with FAI and supported by Galleria Continua, showcases around twenty sculptures by Leandro Erlich from May 9 to November 22 2026, some of which are unpublished, that take the form of impossible yet surprisingly familiar organisms: butterflies with ear-wings, cabbages that become architectures, corals that assume the appearance of metropolises, trees that end in human feet. Hybrids suggest that art is not an ornament of the world, but a force that continues its creation, operating at the same level as the evolutionary and geochemical processes that have shaped the planet.
