Massimo Recalcati will bring the Festival della Bellezza to a close with a lecture from the stage of the Teatro Romano, entitled ‘The Poetics of the Remnant: Anselm Kiefer’.
During the lecture, he will explore the link between psychoanalysis and art through an analysis of the works of the German artist Anselm Kiefer. Recalcati’s talk centres on the theme of how fragments, ruins and rubble become an expression of the spirit and the creation of meaning
The event forms part of the renowned “Festival della Bellezza”, organised annually by the IDEM Cultural Association – percorsi di relazione, an organisation that promotes reflection on our evolving identities and on the cultural and artistic creations that define the horizons of meaning in existence; it offers opportunities for encounter and dialogue, particularly amongst young people, as well as performances and publications, fuelled by a curiosity for and delight in research and beauty.
