Descrizione lunga

The Municipal Administration, from August 23 to November 9, 2025, in the Zavatteri Hall of the Palladian Basilica is pleased to host a solo exhibition dedicated to Maurizio d’Agostini, a Vicenza sculptor who has been telling the world with an authentic and poetic gaze for years. His hands know how to converse with marble, clay, but also with humble materials rich in memory, such as the stones of the Brenta, transforming them into works that speak of nature, humanity, and territory. This exhibition, rich and articulate, brings together numerous works that testify to an entire life dedicated to art, love for nature, and the beauty that surrounds each of us.

Maurizio D’Agostini is a sculptor, engraver, and painter. A contemporary artistic figure of international importance, he has a strong bond with his city. A connoisseur of the human figure, D’Agostini investigates the existence of the human being by shaping while playing on volumes, spaces, and classical references. The works follow ideal forms that captivate contemporary art critics and are part of numerous public and private collections, both Italian and foreign. The monumental works are exhibited in public places and private spaces, in Italy and abroad.

The exhibition, curated by Katia Brugnolo, aims to serve as a retrospective of over forty years of presence on the artistic scene, narrating the story and life of a Vicenza artist with a recognizable formal language of his own.

The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM, free admission.
