The JMuseum presents “Portrait of an Era: Cavazuccherina – Jesolo 1915” a handcrafted landscape diorama that reconstructs the historic center as it was over a century ago. Houses, town hall, church, inn, and school take shape in a detailed model, the result of careful research based on archival photographs.
Among the most evocative elements are the navigable Cavetta canal and the docks for the vaporetto that connected Jesolo to Venice, testaments to a simple but vibrant everyday life. The work provides an authentic glimpse into the roots of the city, inviting a rediscovery of the sense of community that characterizes it even today.
It was realized by three Jesolo citizens: Maurizio De Zotti, Graziano Danieli, and Nicola Bonotto.
A tribute to the memory and identity of the territory.
