With the exception of the hottest months of July and August, every third Sunday of the month, from morning to sunset, Montagnana becomes an essential stop for all lovers of antiques and vintage, as well as for collectors and enthusiasts of valuable items.
From Castel San Zeno to the Rocca degli Alberi, along the main street that runs through the medieval village, about 90 exhibitors display their goods, allowing those on the hunt for rarities, furniture, books, or jewelry to uncover the rarest and most valuable pieces among those showcased in the numerous stalls, while strolling in the shade of the noble palaces that adorn the historic center. A complete immersion in the beauty and art of the past.
Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II then provides a backdrop to a lively market that instead offers handcrafted items and seasonal food and wine products, and also hosts a food stall to satisfy the lovers of good food.
To spend a whole day in Montagnana, one can dedicate themselves to visiting the architectural beauties of the historic center, walking along the long medieval defensive walls, climbing to the top of the Mastio di Ezzelino, participating in a guided tour of the Civic Museum or the city, and admiring the interiors of the wonderful Cathedral of S. Maria Assunta.
