Encampments, medieval market, tournaments, and performances around and within the mighty walls of Cittadella, the best-preserved in Europe.
The only ones with a completely walkable elliptical medieval walkway.
On the fourth weekend of September, the Arme Dame and Cavalieri Association organizes the Historical Reenactment in Cittadella, now in its XXIII° edition this year.
During these two days, there will be square and street settings, such as the encampments of men-at-arms, historical archery, the itinerant participation of musicians and jesters, historical games, the medieval market, and ancient trades.
A special performance will be the falconry displays with various types of birds of prey and the interactive participation of the audience.
The reenactment will conclude on Sunday evening at sunset with the final torchlight procession and the burning of the castle.
The most important Cultural Sites in Cittadella will be open for visits: the Walkway on the Walls, the Social Theater, Palazzo Pretorio, and the Cathedral Museum.
Market and performances will open on Saturday afternoon and evening, and all day Sunday.
